Untitled #5

Wow... Sure it is cool tonight. Think a lot of things recently. What will going to happen in the next two months of mine in this semester? And soon CNY is coming but it seems that still not yet ready for the celebration. Time passes so fast.

Who will expect that I am the one take over for my school project which involves all of my coursemates for this project...? I am currently taking 2 posts and I only want to be a supporter for this project and not a leader. I guess my appearance and command ability is still not 'qualify' now. Anyone who volunteer to become the leader for this? I had fed up to listen about the jokers with the issue that 'this course is lazy... not active... ego... ', whatever it is.

And the stupid 'system' in our school has caused a lot of chaos and confusion as well. Who will expect that the school will use the 'so-called high tech system' and they are not able to manage them? The data loss and now they cannot recover it (for the information the add-drop is on this week). If they failed to do something while got the time to deal with stupid matters around the school, why don't they set the priority to solve the problem about the students first?

The things that we can control - they don't want to control.
Things that are out of our control - they want to control it 'kao kao'.

That is what we called it as... life eh.

Planning on the holiday at next week? Or still troubled with the courses that we are taking. Just forget about the writing in the system. Register it if you can do so. Register manually if cannot. Just that easy. No need to worry so much at it as it is not our fault and this are the things that we can solve (but the person who supposed in charge at this not yet in the office)...

Enjoy the weekend again, as well as the PAP tomorrow... I am not going, fed up with that...

Issue about Teaching Writing!

OK. So this is the news. The coordinator has decide about the time for the course mentioned. I am not so sure that if the course is listed in the SMP but what you need to do is just attend the class. The issue about registration is not an issue as it can be solved easily.

The time that has decided for the course is as below:

Venue: Mini auditorium SPPS
Time: 7pm to 9pm
Day: Monday

Please inform all of the other second year students for this information, and if the time causes any issue, we will discuss with the lecturer (Miss Sheily) for the time being. Just make sure that you attend the class for that time mentioned.

For some reasons about the time clashing, please inform me first (if you cannot attend the class) so that I can negotiate the time with the lecturer. And please let me know for the time that you are free for Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, after 1PM. (our lecturer is only free at those time) If there is not, try to adjust your own time for this course (as it is mostly PPIB courses at that time) with your lecturer.

If you cannot register for SMP due to the offers had not set to us (in registration), just attend the class. ignore about the SMP issue first. (I mention twice here...)

There are always something behind the scenario.

Got to admit that there are quite a lot of chaos in this semester for my course. And it seems that there are some issues that 'need to be reviewed'.

What?It seems to be true that the course are facing chaotic course 'selection'.
Who is behind the scene? Undoubtly, the school as well as the administration department. Why? Do you know that in sometime at this semester (I think at last semester), the course code has changed into a 5 digit code instead of 4. And there are some major school and program's CH has increased 'for some reason'. i.e. the practicum (Latihan Mengajar I assume), is supposed a 6 CH course has changed to 8 CH course. Some major schools like (Socio, Computer and Multimedia) is supposed to be 2 CH but now is in 3 CH.
I see it, how it will affects us? Nothing more to say, affects in the terms of time, pointers and even worse your graduation. I guess the reason explained well here.

What? Then... about the course's bulletin or the TESL night. My program coordinator revealed this issue recently and I have gave my opinion to him today.
Who is behind the scene? The whole TESL group!
Why? Let's say about bulletin first. It is just more or less about writing (blogging) or whatever it is, I only found that there are quite a few are interested in writing or contributing themselves. Perhaps that they are busy or what? It seems that my coordinator said about the TESL before and now is... totally different. Another issue is about the 'heads'. They wanted to publish the bulletin but they CARE A LOT about the logo and quality. Those stupid and freak rules are only demotivate us to contribute or give our initiative on creating something. They know to complain yet they contribute nothing. Thinks about yourself first before you can comment on others.... Then about the night, it seems that it is tough, and I wonder who will going to get the substitute job... If there is anyone willing to do so, let me know. I am ready to assist (but avoid to become the leader or what...)
I see it, how it will affects us? Affects nothing in academic but I am sure that our lecturers will be dissapointed since they are really, seriously looking forward about this matter.

What? Some courses are not offered yet.
Who is behind the scene? Academic division and the school!
Why? Read the latest prospectus. Borrow one from your junior. The school forced us to follow and take the courses are offered as in the prospectus. That's insane. If you compare with it, you will find out that it is in a total mess. And then about the issue why you are not registered? Easy. The stupid system used by the academic division as well as the skill they divert the complaints from one to another, then the other will also divert it back to the division. No quality. They only know the quota is always 100. And as long as the courses are not in the same time and location then it is fine. And that's why the time table for now is in a mess and according to program coordinator, this mess will only solved after next week.
I see it, how it will affects us? Who knows? You should know yourself. Try to be more alert then.

So... just in a word, try to be somehow active and take the initiative... Unless you are not a TESLian. Not in the way to disturbing though. Try to consider about our coordinator. And I will just keep on informing if there is anything.

Happy Weekend again. If it really is.

Updates concerning our courses!

Well, if you have attended the meeting about TESL'ian yesterday, I am sure that there are some problem about our courses as we need to give the 'places' to the seniors. Therefore, the solution is now as below: Take the courses that are only offered for the second year students. This is the updated version.

1. Teaching Writing Skills
2. Approaches to Language Learning / Discourse Analysis
3. Introduction to Morphology
4. Major School 1
5. Major School 2
6. Free / Major School 3 / PPIB Courses / Co-curricular activity
7. Foreign / English Language.

with the total of 17/ 20 CH for this semester.

Decide yourself for the major school, and if we can meet there sure it is fun. That's all for the updates.

Happy New Year.

It is the first day for 2009, and for sure we are expecting a lot of good things will come by this moment.

I will just make this short. About the school's course information. It seems that the academic department repaired the system at yesterday, and we will no need to register for the Social Context (yet we still don't know when it is the time, so we might need to check it during school days I think).

Hopefully this is a good start for this year and the problem on some of our major school will solved at this moment too (even though the possibility is low).

Happy 'Niu' Year to all of you again... (niu= cow in Chinese).
