VOTE EARTH

The Earth is in crisis, let's at least spread the news by just switching off the light to show the awareness to the others about the danger of global warming now!

How to make yourself happy?

Forwarded by my friend to me, and decided to share this out too.

How to Stay Happy Always :-)

1.
Throw out nonessential numbers.
This includes age, weight, and height.

Let the doctors worry about them.. That is why you pay them.

2.
Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down.
(Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!)

3.
Keep learning:

Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.
Never let the brain get idle.
'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.'
And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4.
Enjoy the simple things.

5.
Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
*********
And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with him or her!

6.
The tears happen:
Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourself.
LIVE while you are alive.

7
Surround yourself with what you love:
Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8.
Cherish your health:
If it is good, preserve it.
If it is unstable, improve it.
If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9.
Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is

10.
Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

Accept the things that is correct and ignore the things that is incorrect. No matter you are, it has no difference if you have your day sad. Why don't make it a happy day if it really makes no difference?

Like this:

I am not entirely an optimist who believes that the best will happen - and I am not entirely a pessimist who believes the worst will happen. You can say I am a pessoptimist. I believe that the best will happen - but it won't be good enough.

Nobody has the power to make us miserable or happy, except ourselves.

A word from Lyn Karol:
Learn to laugh at your troubles and you will never run out of things to laugh at.

Week updates for 9/3/09

OK... So these are the updates of the week (today).

I hope that what is mentioned by our lecturer is clear. About the assignment, please pass it to me starting next week. I will put the folder in the cafe of our school, so just drop by and put the assignment into the folder. Make sure you also retain a copy of it just for 'in case'.

This is this week's lecture notes as well as additional notes. to download.

Notes

Syllabus

Lesson Plan

The group of writing remains the same (no changes) for some reasons. I don't really feel that I want to explain it... it might insult somebody... but...

Guess I will learn to how to forgive the person. Making friends are better than making enemies.

About the assignment!
Starting Tuesday, till Thursday night, I will start collecting the assignment. At Tuesday, I will ask my friend to help me to collect it in the school cafe (if you want to pass it on Tuesday), and I will put the folder there starting Wednesday, till Thursday 3.59pm. After that, if you want to pass it to me after that, please do make sure that you can reach me at that night (as I will not collecting it after Thursday).

It will be better if you can pass it starting Wednesday.

There are plenty of time for you to pass up the assignment, so please do send it before Thursday. I will put the name list at here too for those who had sent their assignment.

Do sure to keep yourself a copy. (so that you can send it again IN CASE YOU REALLY SEND IT BUT I DON'T HAVE THE COPY - EVEN THOUGH DON'T KNOW THAT YOU REALLY SENT IT OR NOT).

Flood at Lawas

At 6th February 2009, my hometown, Lawas had a disastrous flood, that reaches around .6 meter to 1.4 meter. It has been quite a long time since the last flood (well at least the 8 years that I am in here I heard nothing about the flood).

Is it really the change of the weather for the moment?

The Lawas Custom area.

The Lawas custom area as well as the only petrol station in Lawas, which is near to the river bank (you can see at the back of the yellow shop), seems to be the deepest area.

Apart from the custom area, this is the snap get from the direction of the custom area, it seems that there are certain high places are 'safe' from the disaster.

These are the city center area, it seems that these places are 'flooded' till you need to use the boat as the transport. Some areas at here, the water level is almost 1m and above.

The Airport road (approximately 1km from Lawas) are also affected by the flood too.

The morning of Lawas city. The rain stopped at 5pm (after almost 24 hours raining).

It is really bad as it has been a long time before this event re-appeared. It takes a lot of time to gather up the photos at here too.

Hopefully there will be no more such disaster in the future.

Riots in hostel

Grand riot happens around my hostel today. The whole block including the block in the female hostel come out and protesting about 'spot check' that made by our so-called 'pengetua'. It seems that this 'pengetua' has raised the madness of the students and all of the students in the hostel becomes angry mob.

The situation becomes more intense when we overheard that we will get the summon about like this:

any shoes that is not arranged will penalized RM 2, the hanger is outside from the cupboard will be penalized RM 10, and if your room have a pail will be penalized too, any electrical items that not yet obtained the license will be penalized RM 15 for each.

Most of the female hostels were penalized for a few hundred bucks just because of that, it causes a big riot from both hostels and it until the student's association turned up to settle the case.

This is the first time I in the hostel to see such grand parade after the fire drill event.
