Online Web games

Hey, readers: is it 'boring' when you have your two month holiday, and got nothing to do as the games published recently are more and more into nuts as the requirements and the machine problem?

I spotted (perhaps is replaying) a online WEB game to spend my time in the holidays. Having a pet in real life is fun but troubled sometimes? Want to have an imaginative pet while you can take care of the pet, and get some friends around the world as well as playing games to spare your boredom moments (as well as waiting for the download)? I think this is the site you might need to hop into. Click on the banner to register and view more information about this game.

Click the banner below!

Prove it that you are playing this game.
I am currently playing this game when I am online (already a month). Of course - I also have a pet which I named as _0_Latias_0_, with the species that called Shoyru (a kind of dragon in the Neopets community).

Want to view on my information in this game? Well... Click here for more information.

A picture of my pet. Yeah... it's a female.

World Cup in Neopets world?!

In this world, they also have held the cup which is similar to world cup, but they call it as Altador Cup as Altador is the origin of the worldwide sports tournament in the Neopets world (or called Neopia).

Three games are held in this tournament, which are called Yooyuball (5 people indoor soccer), Slushie Slinger (sling your drinks to customer and gain points) and Make Some Noise (shouting louder to gain more points).

There are 16 teams that from the world joining this world tournament, and I was a member of this team: Lost Desert (as the left logo) and the members of this team as in the lower image.

What you can do in this game?
I can say there are a lot of things that you can do. For example, while raising your pet, you can playing some Flash Games that in the website and surfing the net or the articles about Neopia, exploring the world (while you wait for the games to load), doing your usual routine as surf other websites.

Not only that, you can also learn to become a businessman by try to haggling the price when you are going to buy something, train your pet to join the battledome, and play with your pets with some PHP games in the website too.

In a nutshell, you can buy, sell, trade, show, train, play, chat and more functions as it is going to be added soon to the game, and most importantly, this game requires no download (but your computer will need to have Flash, Shockwave and 3-D Life Plugin in order to play the games though), and it is free!

Why this game?
You know, in school there is unlimited wireless services but there are some limits on using it. You cannot use it to download something as P2P or even use to play online games (due to the restriction and the booby speed we have at there). Why we don't effectively use the resource that they gave us (besides by using it to search information) as playing games before the lecture is coming? (Gosh, study and study, even online also searching for article for study is a boring thing to do, you know)

This game does not require any monthly cards or points card to play (Only if you want to have a better attire for your pets to show off, unfortunate that Malaysia still not yet have that service), while you can earn the money (they called as NeoPoints inside the site or when you are playing the flash game. You surf, play and have to take care your pet when you are online so that you will 'got something' to do (not idle always) in the web surfing.

latios_dixon got their Neopet at http://www.neopets.com

Registration for next semester - how?

Well... it seems that the academic department has done their work, 'flawlessly'. I am going to report something to my readers whom are my coursemates too.

Is it really 'final' for the course time?
This is the question. When you view on the website (I take a SS on it) and they mentioned that they 'made' this by 18th of June and finalized by 21th.

I can say that - I don't think so, and it seems to be worse than the previous semester.

Flaws - Quite a lot... can be seen when you are searching for the time table of your course. The course codes changed. For example a course: UF3072 now changed to US00302. It has caused more confusion when we want to register our course by the 1st of July soon.

Nightmares coming!
Well, as mentioned earlier, we will face 3 killers in this year in our major, and eventually one of the lecturer that has a bad reputation from us has stayed his post- but I am still not sure that if he is teaching the course that we are taking. I am not his student before, but judged from most of my mates by last semester, it seems that this guy is not a good person though. Real or not, who knows.

There was another two lecturer who known as killer that we must face by this year. It has been foretold from our seniors that it is rare to get a A, or even a B when you are under these lecturers. Currently the best result they gave in the past merely a B-.

Can I survive this year?
A tough question. Getting a Spanish course that I am weak at, and now need to face a lot of killer lecturers in this year, not matter he/she is teaching the major course or the school course. School course are always to be shown as a threat to us to maintaining the pointer of 3.0 and above, while major course.. It is fine as long as the lecturer are kind, as I have faced some, especially Mr. Lourdes that teaches me by the previous semester.

My friends ask me to give up my Spanish and taking Japanese instead. It seems that is easy, but I need to waste a year time again as foreign language courses takes 4 semesters to complete (and I am half way in it). Through thick and thin, I will need to take Spanish as I just need to suffer for two semesters only and I must maintain at least a C- for this course - then I am safe.

Going to plan your course time table?
Forget it. See the screenshot at the right? This is one of the course that I am taking. They made changes and it has caused confusion as we are following our prospectus which they have only 4 numbers after the code. They not only changed the number and they have changed the code.

In instance, Japanese and Spanish previously are coded UF and now Japanese are coded as UJ, while Spanish as US. The Malaysian studies we take previously coded as UF too and now changed to UL.

And then, the time table is still not yet filled! So far I know that my major and my school course are always in conflict and cannot imagine that in this semester, the courses are also in conflict, even the school course itself also crashed with each another. We are forced to take all of the school course while we need to take our own majors and minors. Thanks to them, we need to abandon the courses that we are going to take again. Sigh.

Problems are forwarded to them, and they will take the action to repair it or not, I don't know. Perhaps they want us to waste our effort again by checking the time table at our own faculty so that they can save their time to fill in these blanks. But if they think so, why they make this in the first place and inform us about that?

Not persistent and lame.

Petrol Inflations - can you cope it out?

Petrol price has increased. Do that inflation impact you a lot? I found this thing on my e-mail, which my lecturer gave me. I have made some modifications and save it into this new one as at a sudden the government come out with a new plan for East Malaysian's vehicle on the rebate 'terms'.

It seems that this will cope out the problem. But, will it?

Click here to download the MS Excel Formatted file. Count it yourself, see how much it exceeds compared to the previous value.

Just simply key in your monthly usage in the box provided. You will find out that the financial problem quite soon enough because of the fuel cost 'only'. You should surprise that how much extra value you need to add in your monthly life!

So... the government just saying that changing our lifestyle - how to change..? Does it means that we use bicycles instead of cars? Eat porridge instead of rice? No more relaxations? What a silly conclusion that they made...

Untitled #1

Roughly 45 days have passed for this semester break, but it seems that it was more bored if you can go nowhere - inflation streak, work as well as financial problem... Anything about money. Sigh...

Family matters
A lot of things happened in my family too. Because of my father's health problem, I had went through some hospitals in Kota Kinabalu and Lawas in just a few days. Before that, I am also working at a father of my friend's restaurant, and now I have 'shifted' my workplace from a restaurant to my father's brick factory - till he was fully recovered or when my next semester starts.

Crazy inflations
At the same time, I also knew that the money earned nowadays are quite tough - even RM 3000 monthly salary would barely enough for this time due to the crazy inflations. Government accuses that they don't have enough salary, in face their earnings more than the value mentioned at least +3000 or even more for some higher 'level' politicians. Perhaps, they should try just like us (citizens), use public transport to go to work, do the same thing just as we do, including accommodation and foods.

There was SUPPOSED to be the men behind these scenes, and it thinks that the current salary of the citizens are able to cope it out. They should try to experience the life of the 'commoners' for a month first, otherwise they should not put out their opinions too fast. Don't ask your driver to fetch you to work or to anywhere, nor without car. You should try to use the public transport and you will know why sometimes we choose to use private transport instead of the public one. "Use public transport more and drive less to solve the inflation, save more...", as some politicians said. What a lame excuse. Try our life first, then you give your opinion, dude.

My oncoming semester
Talking about the future semester, I also wondered that how on earth about the school policy on setting up the things? See... 14 days more for the orientation for freshmen in my school, and just after they finished the orientation then we ONLY be allowed to register for everything, including hostel and courses. This is the most troublesome part as the semester starts in the 7th July, which we also need to do the things above - Whew! That was nuts! the academic department never done his job well since I was in the university...

*Sensitive, huh? Well... people will be boring without any complains since so many problems on the moment. Just meant to say something it is real, after all. I rarely speak something that is fake though, not my interest nor personality.

Results~

You know how is a person is well-born lucky? I can admit myself as one of the Lucky Seven for the moment. Recently my school's results are out and most of my friends keeping on SMS'ing me:

"Hey, you know the result out already?"
"How's your result?
"Latios (or whatsoever name), how's your holiday? Checked result already?"
"Hi bro, enjoying your holiday? Doing what? How is your result this time?"
......
......

Check it on my previous semester result first for my hypothesis.

I will not going to have a screenshot for my first semester - done horribly on it.

There was a subject that I was supposed to get at least B+, but due to my misfortune or overwork on the previous night of the exam (well... during that exam day, my cell phone's alarm went malfunction and I ended up with 'no final result for my final exam'. I missed my final exam for my Gender. But still I was allowed for a retake for this paper, yet the paper's result was not count into here. Waste my money, effort and time. Sigh (supposed to take this at the following semester)...

Another one is the C- which is the philosophy. I did mention somewhere in my blog before... the lecturer is one of the person that I am not respectable of. Why? Assignments notice come out without any announcement (not all of us have our class at our own school, after all). And the way he gives the mark is either 0 or 10 (out of 15). No citation? Hah! 0 mark for you, no matter how good your assignment are.

Phonology, huh? Well... I deserve it. I cannot pronounce my mother tongue correctly sometimes (and even don't know the pronunciation for some words), how on earth I can master English's phoneme?

"Literature, is an art." A B+ for my literature - confusing. Study nothing, learn nothing, tons of homeworks, and that's all for the final exam. Therefore... no comment.

Spanish - tough. That's all. Deserve it for the C+.

Entrepreneurship - Funny yet annoying course. The admin department blocking us with all of their 'might' to fail us on selling items (as it was one of the compulsory activity).

The civilizations? Odd. B- is enough.

Ended up with 2.75 for my CGPA. Lucky that I was still at the minimum point. Otherwise I will be meat for sure.

This is the second semester result.

Pressure of previous semester and serious crash on my course time (who knows what the department doing?!) reduced my course CH for this semester.

Horray for Mr. Lourdes! Neverthlessly, I need to admit that he is one of the greatest lecturer as I have seen before. A professional teacher's trainer a.k.a. lecturer on my school. The lectures under him is somehow relaxed yet sometimes are stressed too. Because of him, I had paid out a lot of attention on the works and I have break a record on my assignment under his course too - a 260 pages "phone index book" assignment for Reading. My Teaching Reading and Second Language Acquisition was under him, and least expected, I get both A- for both of them! I said so is because I did badly on the mid term and I need to admit that I might have some grammar mistakes (yeah. I am trying to repair my grammar) on the final will cause myself to get a bad result... After all, these courses when handled by him (I call him Sir), it seems that the course was not so tough as my friends mention in the previous semester. I will need to say Thanks to him if I am able to meet him by chance in the future semester.

Economics' thought was a tough course - I always complaining for this yet I was surfing net when I was on the lecture, not paying any attention to him. Maybe my basics on the history of economics had gave me the advantage. As I focus on my assignment and lucky thing that this mid term was a take-home assignment, and with splendid answer I had on the final exam - ended up with A. Lucky!

The Malaysian Studies (Etnik), uh... No comment. So I not really care on the result for this one, as long as it was B- and above was enough for me.

Spanish? Same thing but seems to be tougher from previous one. Dragged my result of this semester down. I still need to suffer for a year for this though... Hopefully I will maintain at least C- for the following semester.

Teaching Listening and Speaking skills? Surfing the net during the lecture. Even fall asleep one and yeah... did badly in the mid-term and final, I guess. It seems that my assignments has aided me, or the lecturer was very kind to us. Thanks though, Miss Loh.

With a simple add-and-divide, my CGPA for this year comes out with:

This is not a very good result as I am not in the dean's list. Still, this has shown an improvement on myself and proven myself is a Lucky Seven..? Anyway, I will going to strive for the following semester even though it is a fact that I will going to suffer on the future courses too...

Anyway, please don't look too serious about this, aye (the luck thing is kidding though)? Not intended to praise myself about this. Congratulations to my friends too if your result was improved and don't be sad if your result are bad. At least you tried your best and not cheated for everything. Looking forward to see you guys on the following semester!

Brick Factory Showoffs

After a long moment of inactivation, guess I will bring out one of my showoffs - about my father's brick factory.

A brick factory is somehow different than what you can see if compared with the industrial location's factory. Industrial location factory is somehow more high tech if compared to the brick factory - I think some brick factories are high techs but might not able to produce a good brick.

Landscape view of the brick factory.

It seems that this area is somehow rural or shabby isn't it? Well, producing brick needs a lot of natural resources as their material, such as sunlight, soil and even stones... I guess.

This will be the view of the factory in the interior location.

One of the location that producing the brick - useable brick. Views of the stove will be alike to the tunnels that similar though.

The raw brick. Cannot imagine out house are made of these kind of mud eh?

Real brick that we used on the building construction. It looks more sturdy if compared to the picture above which was still a raw one, isn't it?

Guess I will not so lucky if compared to some of my other coursemates whom they have been on vacation on other places while I have been staying at my house - doing nothing except work, sleep, play PSP and PC, eat...

Boring life. Wondered why the university have 5 months holiday in a year? Ridiculous.

A funny History Answer

When I checked my e-mail recently, I found a e-mail from my friend (Ik Wei), he has forwarded me an e-mail about a Form Six student's history answer. In form six, we have to study history if we are in the Art class. This is the answer from him, a Student of Malacca's high school, about the answer of the paper History of Malaysia and Asia (Sejarah Malaysia dan Asia). Since there are no questions in the image my friend gave me, I will make a gist about the questions and will have two of the images that I have uploaded at here.

Below is one of the four pages answer from that student. What a maniac.

Bahagian A:

Answer extracted in the image:

1.

Sekolah agama Islam dipupuh. Penganut agama Islam mengenal Sistem Tenaga Nasional. In English, they are too shy to do tat stuff in the light. Scared people to see ma. Stupid."

Perempuan tidak lagi dipandang hina kerana setelah ada cahaya, "men felt shy because their body part are different" 1 bolt 1 nat. Really t**.

Let me explain k? Tetapi perjalannya susah sehingga banyak. Awek iblis yang cantik menggodanya. Dia terpaksa mencari pengikut untuk membantunya. Iaitu mereka Monyet, Babi, Kuda dan Hantu Air. selepas mendapatkan kitab suci, raja syaitan dikalahkan. Dan semua orang memahami ajaran Confucius walaupun sangat "confusing". Kalau tidak raja syaitan akan muncul semula.

Ajaran Shinto pula datang dari Tom Cruise. Dia ini seorang askar, generallah dumpo wat pengalah A get liau. Dia mahu kill all the stupid Japanese because they samurai all so lazy steal stuff. Lepas itu dia pun Fang wat cai lo. His people went to kill him pun tak jadi.

hendak mencari awek dara,
kalau nak cari awek dara,
di tepi muaralah.

This is a real... uh... ridiculous answer. This is spectacular answer that I ever found in a Form 6 history test. Splendid.

Inflation Chaos

It seems that this year's Gawai festival has caused a lot of things happen, especially when we mention about the price of the item we have currently.

The first inflation started by our prime minister or the government (whomever they are), a raise of 50 cent until RM2 for a kilogram of rice, depending on the brand and type. It means that every 10 kg will have a raise between RM5 to RM20 for a pack of rice.

Then, followed by the raise of raw materials for building and tires, and now followed by the petrol. In just a few days of June, almost everything has raise the price for it, roughly 70% inflation value if compared to the lower price.

Even the electricity fees was increased as well.

When you think over carefully, who will be the man behind of these scenes and chaos?

As their favorite quote are: Our fuels is still the 2nd or 3rd cheapest if compared to the other ASEAN countries. Well, it might be true, but the salary of Malaysians are also the 2nd or 3rd lowest if compared with ASEAN countries, as Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei have better salaries and conditions.

Do you think that the subsidy of RM625 (some of them are even less) to the car owner will help to cope out with the problems? How will they give the rebate to the citizens is also another matter as they are good at giving excuses as don't know how to give to us/ need proof...

If these problems still persists, well... out MYR value will become no difference as the Rupiahs. This can be shown that how 'good' and 'efficient' of our government. Did they think about the citizens?
