Pesta Lawas (Con'td)

Wow, what a sensation. The day I came back and my hometown (consider as is) are having a 2-days festival, so-called Pesta Lawas. The climax of the festival is at Sunday and lucky me. I was able to have a visit with the splendid show.

Even though that night was only holding 2 activities, but it seems that both activities have taken a lot of time and attention of the folks (including me). It starts with the first activity which they
called as 'flower car' parade as well as the lanterns.

Before that, sorry about the photo quality - I don't have any good camera as I am using my Nokia 5700 as my primary camera and y'know... phone cam's are always having a poor performance while shot at night...

Photos:

One of the 'cars' after I arrived the arena.

Another one.

Bet this is from the school...

Obviously. This is from the palm or farming organization.

Two private contestants in the 'flower car' competition.

Government organization also involved in this event. Not so sure about others except JKR.

A 'flower car' from the private organization. I think most of the 'flower car' above are from the school...

Not only the cars, the lanterns are also in this show too. But I am late when I arrived to the arena, so I have visited the school where the lantern contestant's final location. There are some lanterns able to get the attention from the others though.

It seems that these lanterns are from the secondary school.

They said this is from the primary school. Looks very beautiful though.

Have no idea about this lantern, but it seems very beautiful inside (not so sure at outside)

A pile of lanterns from another primary school. Seems to be a lot of contestants.

It seems to be more items to be show for, but these are only photos I am able to get because I am late for the event as I got no information about that...

After that, I found the location of the second event based on the crowd. It is at the park of the town.

The speech by someone.. who?

Look at the crowd..

After all, this is the first time that I can see - the crowds and the scene of bustle and excitement in the town. I only knew that the event ended at 1.30am as I heard fireworks at that time.

Hopefully at the future this event will be continued and along with the improvements - I am extremely thrilled with that and... excited. Not often we can watch about these spectacular events in all the time too, even it is just a town's festival.

I enjoyed... and now you enjoy the pics.
